Artistic Esteem

There is a new non-profit group over at http://artisticesteem.org that is creating scholarships for artist and promoting the work of other artist to help fulfill that goal.

With their new web launch, I have the pleasure of being the first Featured Artist in their new venture and wanted to share the link with everyone so you can drop by and support this wonderful new venture in promoting the Arts. Thanks to Sheavie Williams and the gang over at artisticesteem.com for the interest in my work.
Now stop reading this and surf on over and have a look....

"How to Manage 70 Online Profiles", is an article I'm featured in at Escape From Illustration Island

This week my self promotion campaign managed to find a little attention in a new article over at Escape From Illustration Island.

A great web site dedicated to the professional illustration community where you will find a great group of folks coming together and sharing their experiences in the illustration field. Not only is there a great site with valuable resources on hand, you can also subscribe to the EFII podcast on itunes and find even more great conversation and interviews.

The New Directory of Illustration Arrived This Week!

Directory of Illustration #26 Directory of Illustration #26 by Glen R. Serbin

It's always an exciting day when the postman brings the new annual copy of The Directory of Illustration. Illustrators pay big bucks for a page of space in this book in hopes of landing new clients. This is a great collection of the current trends in illustration. Very lovely production values on good paper stock and of course, profusely illustrated. This book weighs a whole lot, it provides a good physical workout just looking at it, an added benefit for people who sit and read a lot.

Illustation Friday 2-08-10 Subject -'Muddy'

This is my toon for this weeks Illustation Friday 2-08-10 Subject -'Muddy'

I call this one "Muddy Business". I wanted to do a loose cartoony style for this weeks entry which is somewhat different than my usual illustration work. The objective for me was to do this as quickly and spontaneously as possible. I painted this one with Corel Painter and converted the image for the web with Adobe Photoshop.

This is my piece for Illustation Friday 1-29-10 This weeks Subject is 'Focused'.
No one seems more focused than gymnast about to do a dangerous move on the balance beam. This one was created as a mixed-media with the primary application being used, Corel Painter along with some seconday processing in Adobe Photoshop.
